Date Night In

Slide1Lacey: t-shirt, Truly Madly Deeply here; leather pants, J. Crew here; shoes, Vans here; necklace, Dogeared here; watch, Nixon here.

Suede: shirt, J. Crew similar here; pants, J. Crew here; shoes, Nike here; watch, Michael Kors, here.

Last Saturday, we had a date night in — which usually consists of me being in my pajamas by 7:30 p.m., falling asleep promptly by 9 p.m. and Suede’s left to entertain himself until midnight or so. This time around we decided to treat it as if we were going out. We both had casual-cool looks to complement our build-your-own pizza bar (more on the pizza next week). I love the versatility of these J. Crew leather pants. I usually dress them up with heels and a gauzy blouse, but they worked just as well with a t-shirt and sneakers.

Allow me to explain the above photographs:

Photo 1 : It’s the “cover the light switches/outlets” pose.

Photo 2: Preparing for a really serious, smoldering photo (that never happened).

Photo 3: Shaking out all of the really terrible smiles.

Lacey’s fashion sense inspires me to dress as fashionable as she does without wearing anything too loud or trendy. So I usually look to J.Crew as my go-to brand. From a lightweight button-down, to a pair of fitted chinos and a collaboration Nike sneak – you have a pretty solid outfit that’s worthy of a date night with Lacey.
