I envy risk-takers. The ones who can make a caftan look chic, not sloppy; or the girl who can wear a bandeau top, overalls and combat boots and look put-together, not homeless. Or the girl who had long brown hair and cut it into a platinum blonde pixie and looks drop.dead.gorgeous. I’m not one of the those girls…. at least not yet. I allow my practicality and reasonability to win with most of my style and beauty decisions.
However, this faux-fur, leopard-print, knee-length coat is not so safe, which is why I love it. It’s bold, well-made and comfortable — all for fifty bucks. While the coat doesn’t need any help, gold jewelry, big sunnies and animal print pumps keep it glam…. The look is Fifth Avenue meets brothel-madam. I’ve just dipped my toe into the risk-taking pool, but I plan to keep wading in and not envy the daring girls, but be one of them.
