Graduation season

This graduation season is particularly special for Suede and me. In our relatively small circle of friends, there are four graduates this year that we could not be more proud of. We have two new lawyers entering the world AND two new doctors. Suede and I were fortunate enough to celebrate new law school grad, Fabian, a few weeks ago. Wednesday, we headed to Phoenix to watch my baby brother, James, graduate from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU. While it’s still hard for me to comprehend that my little bro is going to be someone’s attorney, I’m bursting with pride and strived to be the loudest cheerleader in the theatre.

Last night, we stayed local and attended the U of A medical school graduation. One of my oldest and dearest friends’ husband is graduating and I am so stinkin’ happy to see the culmination of his years of hard, consistent, painstaking work. Suede, too, had a longtime friend graduate from UA med school last night — pure fortuity!

While we know that these ceremonies are not about us, we still like to look good and graduation-appropriate as guests. We chose smart outfits with snappy details and just enough formality — but not thunder-stealing.

Enough about us… Congratulations, James Sweeney, JD, Fabian Zazueta, JD, Dr. Christopher and Dr. Reveles!
