In a typical work day, I leave the house bright and early and don’t arrive home until long after the sun sets. That means I pack for all contingencies – reasonable footwear, snacks, workout clothes, reading material and my planner. It allows me to go from work, to meetings, to the gym and then out to dinner.
Last Friday, Suede and I had the rare weekday off together and we kept the agenda loose — meaning we still had to pack for different scenarios. Our day started at one of our favorite places in Tucson, Session Yoga, for 60 minutes of hot power vinyasa. Tight crops, a tank, Birkenstocks, ponytail and the best mat ever (here) were just right for class. We rewarded our hard work at Cashew Cow with dairy free, gluten free ice cream. One scoop Chocolate Cinnamon, one scoop Coffee…two scoops amazing. Next, for errand-running, I changed into sneakers, added a little jewelry, a Chambray anorak and a hat to cover my sweat-soaked hair. And as day faded into night, the layers came in handy: we had an impromptu, alfresco wine date with our best friends. It was the perfect day full of productivity and transitional dressing.
